A landmark refinery revamping project that significantly enhanced APC’s efficiency and productivity

Pre-Commissioning / System Acceptance: FGE handled 25 pumps of various specifications, 17 heat exchangers and coolers, 10 towers and vessels, drainage system preparation, and steam blowing.
Commissioning: FGE performed activation of all utilities, instrumentation work including 40 flow transmitters, 46 valves, 33 switches, and other instruments, functional performance testing in all modes, rotating equipment and electric motor testing, flange management, gross and commissioning leak tests, and nitrogen purging (system inerting).

Our Scope of work

FGE has provided key services for the U-3000 Project, a critical unit enhancing Egypt’s productivity. This landmark revamping project significantly improved the refinery’s operational efficiency, reliability, and safety standards. The refinery now operates at ~100,000 bbl/d, optimizing resource utilization, reducing operational costs, and saving approximately $85 million annually. The project also strengthened Egypt’s energy infrastructure, supporting national fuel supply and industrial growth.
